FAQ
Answers to the most common questions about materials, ordering and delivery.
What is the difference between LDPE, MDPE and HDPE film?
LDPE (low-density polyethylene) is flexible, stretchy, clearer and seals very well – ideal for bags, liners and cover films. HDPE (high-density) is stiffer, crinkly and strong even at low thickness – typical for thin bags and pouches. MDPE sits in between. We often optimise properties with blends or three-layer (coex) structures.
What is the minimum order quantity?
As every product is made to measure, the minimum quantity depends on the product type, size and thickness. Request a quote – our team will tell you the economical production quantity and, where possible, suggest a smaller batch.
How quickly will I get a quote and delivery?
We usually send our quote within 24 hours and confirm orders within 24 hours as well. Lead time depends on quantity and format – we state it precisely in the quote and notify you about delivery in good time.
Are your products suitable for food contact?
Yes. We operate under the BRCGS Packaging Materials standard – one of the strictest food-safety standards – and regularly have migration tests carried out by an external accredited lab. A declaration of compliance is available on request.
Can I order custom colours, printing or additives?
Yes: we produce in any colour and, on request, printed, antistatic, UV-stabilised, slip, anti-block, anti-slip or micro-perforated versions. Tell us your needs in the quote request and we will suggest the best solution.
Do you produce from recycled material?
Yes. We make garbage bags, sacks and sheets from recycled polyethylene, and we recycle as much of our production waste as possible. We operate an ISO 14001 environmental management system.
How do I calculate the weight of a bag or film?
Weight = area × thickness × density. For example a 600 × 900 mm, 40 micron LDPE bag (two layers) weighs about 0.6 × 0.9 × 2 × 40 × 0.92 ≈ 39.7 g. Use our film calculator for a quick estimate.
